PwC Junior Circuit 2020 #1

The first round of the 2020 PwC Junior Tennis Circuit will take place January 17th to 19th 2019, at the Cayman Islands Tennis Club.

Matches may be scheduled over all three days of the tournament as such players should be prepared to play Friday through Sunday.

In order to promote good sportsmanship and to be fair to all players, we ask all players to commit to playing the entire tournament weekend. If a player is unable to do so they should reconsider entering a tournament.

There will be three age divisions. 10& Under, 14&Under and 18& Under, and the tournament is open to any junior wishing to take part. The 10& Under will be a green-dot ball.

The TFCI follows the ITF "year of birth" age eligibility rule. Juniors who turn 11 or 15 during the 2020 calendar year must play in the 14& under and 18& under divisions respectively.

WAIVER AND PAYMENT OF FEES

All players must sign a waiver and pay the tournament fee of CI$30.00.

Players can submit waivers and the tournament fee at the tournament desk on Tuesday January 8th between 3:30pm - 5:30pm, at the Cayman Islands Tennis Club.

DOUBLES TOURNAMENT

The Tennis Federation will also be holding a Doubles Tournament for 18& Under and 14& Under. 18& Under players can play with 14& Under.

There will be an additional registration fee of CI$10 for playing entering in the doubles tournament, payable at the Tournament Desk on January 14^th.

The Doubles Tournament will be held at the Cayman Islands Tennis Club along with the Junior Tournament.

DRAW AND SCHEDULE

The draw and schedule will be sent out vie email by the end of the day Thursday January 16^th. Please note that the schedule can be subject to weather and court availability and as such there can be no schedule requests. Players are also reminded that play may be scheduled over all three days of the tournament.

TOURNAMENT RULES AND GUIDELINES

Players and parents are also reminded that they will need to adhere to the Tournament Rules and Guidelines and players are to remind themselves of rules for Tournament Player Conduct. For reference, copies of both are attached to this email. Also, players are expected to review all draws and know when they are scheduled to play.
