2017 Tournament Information(Registration closes Sept. 12, 2017)Dates/Time Saturday,September 16-Sunday, September 17, 2017. Doubles matches will be played on Saturday and Singles matches will be played on Sunday. Expect to start play around 9am and end by 6pm each day. In the event of inclement weather, we may start matches on the Friday or play later on Saturday/Sunday. Breakfast of Champions: We will be serving bagels, juices and fruit at 8:30am on Saturday and Sunday.

Format Men's and Women's Singles and Doubles matches. Players will be self-rated at 3.0/3.5 and 4.0/4.5 and must be 18 years or older. Doubles players must have a partner to participate. The partner must register and pay separately. Some rating groups may be consolidated in order to have a minimum of 4 players or teams.
All players are guaranteed at least 2 matches. There will be a Winner's bracket and Consolation bracket. Matches will be 8-game pro set, no-Ad scoring with a regular tiebreak(first to 7 win by 2) at 8 games all. Change over on odd games. Championship matches will follow the same format. The tournament director may adjust these guidelines due to timing or weather conditions.
When registering, players will self-rate based on USTA's National Tennis Rating Program(NTRP) at the 3.0/3.5/4.0/4.5. For guidelines go to www.usta.com/Adult-Tennis/USTA-League/Information/ratings.
Schedule of Play Line-ups and start times will be sent out by email the Thursday before the tournament. We expect that each player will have a morning match and an afternoon match with finals played later in the day.
There will be an awards ceremony immediately following the completion of each of the Championship matches.
Fee A $40 charitable donation per player is required for the Singles or Doubles matches.If you choose to play both Singles and Doubles, the check should be written for $60.
Payment Information Checks should be made out to one of two charity organizations: USTA Foundation(with NJTL Network in the "for" line) or Cornerstones(with Laurel Learning on the "for" line). You will not be formally registered until we receive your check. Checks should be sent to Reston Association, Attn. Rob Tucker, 12001 Sunrise Valley Dr. , Reston, VA 20191. The deadline for payment is September 11,2017.

Refreshments We will provide water and snacks for all players.
Raffle There will be a raffle with great prizes including tennis gear and gift certificates to local restaurants, stores and sports facilities. For a list of last years prizes, click here. Players will receive goody bags and a tournament t-shirt.
